By Mike Condon and Nick KypreosNHL.com NHL.com — March 27, 2018NHL commissioner Gary Bettman is in Las Vegas this weekend for the annual NHL All-Star Game, but he’s not going to be in the stands.
Instead, Bettman will be in a private suite on the top floor of the Venetian hotel overlooking the city, the company announced Wednesday.
The NHL All Star Game is a big deal for Las Vegas, with over 12 million people expected to attend the event in 2020.
The league also will hold a celebration of its history at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, with a parade and the signing of autographs and photos with fans and officials.
The All-Stars are the highest-paid players in the world, making the Las Vegas event one of the largest events in the NHL.
The game’s schedule has not yet been announced, but Bettman says it will be announced this year.
