Police said at least five people have been shot and a fourth injured.
A suspect has been captured and taken into custody.
“I am really concerned about the safety of my neighbors,” Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy Mike Brown said Monday.
The sheriff’s office says five people were shot and one person was injured.
There were also reports of a shooting at the nearby mall, which is owned by the family of a Fayetteburg resident.
Authorities say the suspect was taken into police custody after an exchange of gunfire with police.
